Emergence festival is a multidisciplinary arts event held over multiple days. It is in it's third year and changing and developing according to the needs of it's community.

 It was conceived by Heather Truesdall, a local cellist and mother of two, who wanted to celebrate folk who are creating art alongside raising a family.

Emergence is not solely for 'emerging' talent. We've showcased  internationally renowned photographers and musicians, as well as and critically acclaimed visual artists and award winning poets. 'Emergence' in this case defines the return to creating post children. It is the process of becoming visible after a period of being 'unseen'.
